Serena Williams made her official comeback to professional tennis at Queen’s Club, teaming up with doubles partner Victoria Mboko. Widely regarded as the greatest female tennis player of the Open Era and arguably the greatest of all time, Serena Williams showcased her trademark power and serving ability. As Billie Jean King once said, “Serena is the best female server of all time.”

Williams and Mboko survived a tough challenge against Erin Routliffe and Nicole Melichar-Martinez. The first set was decided in a tiebreak, with Williams and Mboko prevailing 7-6 (2). They then pulled away in the second set, winning 6-2 to secure a straight-sets victory.

The duo is now scheduled to face Laura Siegemund and Leylah Fernandez in the quarterfinals. One thing is certain: there will not be an empty seat in the house when Serena takes the court.
